What were your issues with Captain Marvel? I really like the art for the reboot, but actively dislike Carol herself. Her brand of arrogance does not appeal to me. :\
I love Reeder's art on Rocket Girl, but had a lot of trouble making sense of the story in the first five issues. Ugh, time travel. I'm hoping that with the new issues we start to see more development of the secondary characters; the only difference I can see at this point between the two female scientists is that one of them has pink hair.
