Rare Characters Letter
![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
I have really been posting a lot of exchange letters lately, so feel free to trawl through those too, using the "dear creator" tag, although I borrow from them a lot.
General likes: forced proximity, curtain fic/domestic fic, hurt/comfort, apocalypse/post-apocalyptic fic, post-apocalyptic curtainfic (lol), open endings, family dynamics, traveling and/or road trips, sex pollen, Groundhog Day stories, slow burns, stories about friendship, friends-to-lovers, friends-to-FWB-to-lovers, found families, teamfic, AUs (especially of the canon-divergent variety), ethical quandaries, and worldbuilding.
General dislikes: straight-up non-con/rape, kid fic/next gen/pregnancy fic, on-screen wedding ceremonies or marriage proposals, soulmates/True Love, sexual appearances by non-sexual bodily fluids (non-sexual appearances are fine, if that makes sense), and standard declarations of love (nonverbal expressions of caring/love are great).
I have zero preferences about ratings; stuff I read and look at regularly run the gamut from G to E. I would be happy to receive porn with or without plot. I'm cool with violence and horror, too. I'm a sucker for all character studies and portraits.
I'm equally excited about all the characters I've requested; don't worry that just because one section is particularly long or short, that's equivalent to how much I want it.
The 100
Feel free to combine any of my requests for these characters. The parts of the show I really enjoyed were the post-apocalyptic survivalist elements: gathering food, establishing rules and a culture, etc. I was somewhat disappointed with the season finale in that I didn't really want modern technology to be around, so I'd prefer that be limited if at all possible (though some of the prompts I've given include the Mountain Men - but also feel free to destroy the Mountain Men's technology with another disaster, lol.
I was also a bit disappointed with the somewhat simplistic moral dilemma of the show, namely pitting "ruthless and therefore surviving" (Bellamy) against "idealistic and therefore probably gonna die, or get someone killed" (Finn). Being so tightly focused on survival that you do things you wouldn't otherwise do (sacrifice others, be cruel, etc) is not moral grayness: it's the most black-and-white decision making schema there is. Also, biological altruism is a thing! Survival of the fittest is at least as much about cooperation as it is competition! Also, people tend to act much more compassionately when they are in the middle of a disaster/immediate survival situation than is commonly believed (which you can read about here). I don't know if I'm asking for fix-it fic or what; do with that whatever you want.
I'm also interested in the environments in The 100: the Ark (nothing about it makes sense! They float people who are still wearing their clothes??? HOW DO THEY SHOE); and the ground, from the Ark's perspective (being on the ground must be the weirdest experience for them!). I love stories that look at people and places together.
Raven Reyes
I love Raven so much! I would love a fic set anytime in relation to canon: maybe something pre-canon about her relationship with Finn (a little codependence anyone?) or even Finn and Raven recovering a friendship/their relationship after S1; something during S1 and the disintegration of their relationship; her slowly building a family out of the 100/Ark people/hell some Grounders even (I think her, Monty, and Jasper would make a good platonic triad - she had instant chemistry with Jasper and some interesting friction with Monty); a slow-burn kinda thing with Bellamy; something post-S1 about her recovery; or something set farther in the future after they've built some kind of society together, or integrated with the Mountain Men. For other characters, I am particularly interested (romantically or platonically) in Raven/Clarke, Raven/Bellamy, Raven/Finn, Raven/Monty, Raven/Monty/Jasper, Raven/Anya, and Raven/Octavia.
Anya
I'd really love to see more about Anya's relationship with her people and/or her role in any iteration of the Grounders vs. Mountain Men vs. the 100 vs. the Ark. The Grounders didn't really get a chance to be fleshed out on the show; something about their culture or lifestyle would be really excellent also. Feel free to focus on her interacting with other characters, especially Lincoln (is she the one who cast him out?), Octavia, Raven, Abby, Bellamy, or Clarke. Pre-canon, during S1, directly after S1, or futurefic all welcome. If you want to write her shippily, I like the idea that she and Lincoln used to be involved, or looking forward, something like Anya/Clarke or Anya/Raven would be great.
Covert Affairs
This show!! The spy stuff is kind of silly, but I would love something about Annie, Eyal, or both of them together and their relationship (professional, platonic, or otherwise). Their bad timing seems to be a thing - I read him as kind of obviously having a thing for her, while she is potentially interested but it just never happens at the right time. I really only ship them with each other, so if you'd prefer not to write Annie/Eyal (which is totally fine), gen is definitely what I want.
Annie Walker
I like the idealism she brings to her work, but I also really like how her spy career is putting a damper on her idealism and optimism. At a certain point, you just see too much, you know? Something about her evolving relationship with her job would be great. I love her relationship with Joan, if that's something you want to focus on. The trust drama she had with Eyal over S3 would also be a wonderful focus, like how they go about repairing that. Or, more generally, the difficulties she has separating herself and her feelings from the job, how that can be both bad and good.
Eyal Lavin
Eyal is one of my favorite characters ever! I love his attitude toward life, to go where it takes you and enjoy things in the moment. He's more cynical than Annie and clearly thinks she's a fool sometimes (especially for trusting him!), but he also obviously doesn't want her to change to become like him. We haven't seen him much in the last season and a half, but I'm especially interested in when Annie came to stay with him post-S4 in Israel as she was getting her heart condition checked out. What happened during those four months? I love his invitations to her, how he wanted her to be on his boat with him, or for her to use her medical condition as an excuse to leave the CIA (and maybe stay with him, I mean, you saw that too, right?). Alternatively, Eyal's relationship with his son is always something I've wanted to see more of as well.
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
This movie hasn't come out yet! As soon as I see it (which will be v. soon, as in opening weekend), I will come back with more specific prompts. In the meantime, teamfic or anything about Quill & Gamora (or Quill/Gamora) or Gamora & Nebula (or Gamora/Nebula) or Gamora &/or Nebula & Thanos would be great.
